Noetic Society
Pierre Grimes founded the Noetic Society, Inc. in Huntington Beach in 1976 for the study of dialogue and the exploration of Platonic dialectic. The Noetic Society was incorporated in 1978, he became the Director of its Philosophical Midwifery Program, which he developed and continues to direct and teach. The Noetic Society holds regular meetings, seminars and meditation retreats to explore in more depth its philosophical studies.
Opening Mind Associates
Julie Grabel-Postel established Opening Mind Associates in 2007 as openingmind.net to provide for distribution of the translations by Thomas Taylor of works from the Platonic tradition that have recently been published by The Prometheus Trust. In addition openingmind.net has become a site for distribution of the published works of Pierre Grimes and others who continue to contribute to the Platonic traditon.
